Performax Trailers, Gemini, Trick Flow and more provide SuperSeries Mod winner with exciting prize package

Tuesday, 30 September 2014

With both the Top ET and Junior Dragster winners at the Summit SuperSeries World Championship both walking away with brand new dragsters courtesy of TNT Supercars, JR Race Car and Summit Racing Equipment, we simply had to put together an equally impressive package for the Mod ET winner. And we are proud to include as part of that package a brand new race trailer, a powerful auto lift, a vacation to Aruba and gifts from over half a dozen other companies totaling nearly $10,000! Check out the prizes.

*Over the coming weeks the International Hot Rod Association will be taking an in-depth look at the parts and the people that make the Summit SuperSeries prize package the greatest prize package in all of motorsports. The Summit SuperSeries winners in Top ET, Mod ET and Junior Dragster at the Summit World Finals will each take home an elaborate prize package courtesy of the many great companies that remain dedicated to the grassroots racer. Thank you to all of our great sponsors and friends who help make this incredible program possible

Performax

Performax Trailers provides brand new trailer to Mod ET SuperSeries champion

Performax Trailers will be awarding the Mod champion at the Summit World Finals a new custom constructed 26 foot trailer.

We talked with Ronnie Young, owner of Performax Trailers, to tell us about this unit." It has 26 foot of floor and a 56 inch tongue with a bulldog hitch." Ronnie further describes, "This custom constructed trailer has a 38"side door and a diamond plate aluminum floor and door. Our trailers feature heavier duty base material such as a one-piece .040" thick aluminum roof and sidewalls are constructed of .050" aluminum that is riveted and glued which gives our trailers a great appearance."

Performax Trailers designs and builds large scale semi and stacker trailers along with their line of tag-style trailers. Some of their standard features that are also included in the award trailer are: 102" wide torsion axles with 82" of space between inner fenders, 16" tires and wheels, aluminum teardrop fenders, LED lighting and a heavy duty flip down aluminum entry plate on the trailer ramp door.

"The trailer will be awarded without cabinetry so the champion can customize the unit to their wants, whether they do it themselves or with our help, either is fine and dandy with us." Ronnie continued, "I really want to stress that our trailer features a full tube chassis (pictured) and uprights every 16 inches. A hat channel-roof bows are every 24 inches, a one piece solid .040" thick aluminum roof. This is not your old-style plywood and thin wall trailer that wrinkles real bad."

The Performax trailers also feature aircraft-style riveting every 4 feet. This plus the pocket overlay of the sidewall give the trailer a very clean appearance. The IHRA Summit World Finals MOD/NO BOX champion that scores this beauty will be towing home with a Performax custom trailer that will be top of the line for their race car.

Aruba

Top and Mod champions receive incredible vacation package to Aruba

One of the longest running prizes with the Summit SuperSeries championship program, the IHRA’s relationship with the island of Aruba has been a strong one that goes back more than a decade.

Since 2005, the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) and Aruba have formed a unique and exciting partnership that has been instrumental in growing the IHRA’s presence worldwide. This partnership has also led to increased international exposure for the island of Aruba through marketing efforts across all IHRA platforms, vacation packages provided to major event winners and sponsors and the success of the Aruban racers themselves.

Aruba Travel

Through that partnership, the IHRA has grown to include more than 100 member tracks and more than 15,000 members around the world that take part in great programs like the Summit SuperSeries. The Summit SuperSeries is an international program that is run at IHRA member tracks that rewards local competitors an opportunity to compete on an international stage. Through Aruba’s involvement in this program, including providing great racers and vacation packages for major event winners, the Summit SuperSeries program continues to grow at a record rate.

This year, the winner of the Top ET and Mod ET classes at the Summit Racing Equipment World Finals will receive a vacation package to Aruba that includes a week-long stay with airfare and hotel stay included.
